Offspring will join their parents if they all enter Paradise
Fatwa No: 50838

Question

Will we meet our parents in Paradise (O Allaah, Admit us all to Paradise)? Will the worldly feeling of meeting whom we love in the Hereafter occupy our mind? Will we have children in the Hereafter other than those we had in the worldly life?
May Allaah Reward you.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

It is proved that the offspring will join their parents if they all enter Paradise. Allaah The Almighty Says (what means): {And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We Will Join with them their descendants, and We Will not Deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.} [Quran 52:21]

However, this does not entail that this idea will be the main concern of all people in Paradise for it (Paradise) has of the blessings and pleasures what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and never crossed the mind of man.

The people of Paradise will have no other children except those whom they had in the worldly life because Paradise is not a place for dirty things such as post-partum bleeding. It is free from all types of filth. It was narrated that Abu Razeen Al-‘Uqayli narrated a long Hadeeth in which the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Righteous women for righteous men. You will enjoy sexual intercourse with them as you enjoy it in the worldly life and also they will enjoy sexual intercourse with you, but there will be no reproduction.”  [At-Tabaraani: Al-Kabeer] [Al-Haakim: Al-Mustadrak] [Ahmad: Al-Musnad]

Allaah Knows best.
