Question

In Surah Jinn Allah states the Wordings of Jinns then how did the Jinns came up with verses as same as the Quran as Allah is stating their words in Quran thus proving that Jinns can say and make QURANIC verses! Or Allah summarised their words? Please answer!

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Firstly, we would like to advise you to avoid pursuing misconceptions and listening to their promotors. You should not make your heart a vessel for such misconceptions (by dwelling on them), for they have a very negative impact on one’s faith and certitude. We also advise you to seek useful knowledge gradually in the ways approved by the scholars.

You should know that all the statements related by Allah, The Exalted, in the Quran on the authority of people from the past nations, the Jinn, or others, are not their actual words, but rather the miraculous speech of Allah, The Exalted. This is evidenced by the fact that the wordings of these reported statements vary in the different sections and parts of the Quran.

Ibn Taymiyyah said in At-Tis‘eeniyyah: “All the statements related by Allah, The Exalted, in the Quran on the authority of people from the past nations who were non-Arabic speakers, were uttered in their own language, and Allah, The Exalted, related them in the Arabic language in which the Quran was revealed.” [End of quote]

The sayings of the Jinn related in the Quran are attributed to them with respect to the meaning only; they were reported in meaning and were worded by Allah, The Exalted.

Allah knows best.
