Does eating cooked camel meat invalidate ablution?

Question

Assalamualikum, is it true that our wodhu will not break if we eat cooked camels meat?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

The issue of performing ablution after eating camel’s meat is a controversial issue among the scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them. The Hanbali School as well as some of the verifying scholars of the Shaafi’i School and others are of the view that ablution is invalidated by eating camel’s meat.

However, the majority of the scholars may Allaah have mercy upon them are of the view that ablution is not invalidated by eating camel’s meat.

The scholars who are of the view that eating camel’s meat invalidates ablution, which is the preponderant opinion, do not differentiate between eating it raw or cooked. Thus, according to the view that eating camel’s meat invalidates ablution, eating it invalidates ablution whether one has eaten the meat raw or cooked.
