No soul will die before receiving full sustenance decreed for it

Question

I was unjustly fired from my work. As a result I became psychologically depressed to the extent that I did improper things, like pulling my hair out with my own hands, out of feeling totally oppressed. I would like to know what I should do.

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallaallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
You should know, dear brother, that people’s sustenance is controlled by Allah The Almighty, not by any human being. Thus, you have to be patient and refrain from doing bad deeds that indicate that you are not satisfied with what Allah The Almighty has decreed for you. Allah The Almighty has told us in the Holy Quran (what means):
•        {And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision.} [Quran 11:6]
•        {O mankind, remember the favor of Allah upon you. Is there any creator other than Allah who provides for you from the heaven and earth? There is no deity except Him, so how are you deluded?} [Quran 35:3]
It was proven that the Prophet, sallaallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that Allah The Exalted revealed to him that no soul would die before receiving its full sustenance. So the Prophet, sallaallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, ordered us to fear Allah The Almighty and not seek provision using unlawful means.
You must be patient and resort to Allah The Almighty, supplicating Him to ease matters for you, to dispel your grief and compensate you.
And Allah knows best.
