eating peacock is haram or halaal?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

Jurists have clearly stated that eating peacock is allowed since it is among the good foods which come under the saying of Allaah (which means): {and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil} [Quran 7:157]

Moreover, it should be known that in principle all foods are lawful except what is proven by evidence to be forbidden, for the saying of Allaah (which means): {It is He who created for you all of that which is on earth.} [Quran 2:29].
