- The Kings of Himyar Embraced Islam. A message came to the Prophet  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) from the kings of Himyar announcing their conversion to Islam. They included Al-Haarith ibn ‘Abd Kulaal, Nu‘aym ibn ‘Abd Kulaal, An-Nu‘maan, Ma‘aafir and Hamdaan - 9 A.H.

- The Conquest of Antioch. Antioch is a great city with rich resources. It was said to have one hundred and thirty six towers and was conquered by the Sultan King Ath-Thaahir - 666 A.H.

- Sultan Toman Bay seized power. He was later on hanged to death by the Ottomans, an event which marked the end of the Mamlouk's rule and the beginning of the Ottoman rule - 922 A.H.
