A traveler led in prayer by a resident
assalam wa allykum we went from jeddah to madinah al munawwarah for 2 days,in masjid al quba i got last 2 rakahs of asr prayer in jammah,and i did not continue the other 2 rakahs after imam finished the prayer.i do not remember what niyah i made before starting the prayer.but most probabily 4 rakahs.do i have to repeat the prayer? on journey.. As Salam alykum, brother i have a question regarding shortening salat during journey i visit my friend who stays in another city abt 120 - 130 KM. as per sunnah i must shorten my obligatory prayers as long as i stay (intention of stay is not more than 2 - 3 days) so whether i must perform my salats in the mosque with imam or pray at my friend's home,.. The distance of shortening the prayer measured by the Hashimite miles
Assalamu alaikum.Thank you for fatwa no.99571.I think there is a slight mistake in the distance for shortening and combining prayer when I checked the fiqh book.The distance mentioned is 48 Hashimiya miles which is equivalent to 83 miles(not kilometre mentioned in your site)which is equivalent to 134 kilometres.Hashimiya is the tribal family name of.. Prayer of the traveler by plane if there is time zone difference
I have to travel to another country which is in another time zone. The flight takes very long hours. When I start the journey in the morning my time, I will arrive there also in the morning according to that country's time and is still in the same day. 1) When a person is taking a weekend trip that is over 200km away from home (but is in the same province and in the same country) can they shorten their prayers?

Work schedule makes prayer schedule difficult
I'm working in oil field, 35 days on and 35 days off.Living in camps in desert. Most of the people with me are foreigners. Prayed prayer of traveler before traveling
I was asked by my Boss this afternoon - Thuhr time - to go to Jubail site (500 KM) away from Riyadh, thus I prayed - Thuhr and 'Asr prayers - in Jam' and Qasr before leaving.
