Question
Assalam alaikom, Why god creates the other planets? Jazekom allaho khairan
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Every Muslim knows that Allaah has the absolute Wisdom regarding His entire Creation and whatever He Does, but a person may or may not know the wisdom thereof.
The word 'stars' in the Quran sometimes refers to the dark celestial bodies, like Venus and Mercury and the like, and it also refers to the bright heavenly bodies, like the sun and all the stars. Allaah mentioned in the Quran the wisdom for wish He created the stars; They are an adornment to the sky, and that burning flames come from them to drive away the devils that come to listen to what Allaah reveals. There are many verses in the Quran about this. For instance, Allaah Says (what means): {Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars. And as protection against every rebellious devil.}[Quran 37:6-7]
In addition to this, the stars are signs [guiding lights] by which people find their way in the dark. A Prophetic narration reads: “Allaah created these stars for three reasons: It is an adornment to the sky, they drive away the devils, and they are signs for guiding people in the dark…” [Al-Bukhari]
