Question
What are the major signs of the Hour and what is the reality of the awaited Mahdi?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
The Signs of the Hour include the coming of the Antichrist, the appearance of the Beast, the rising of the sun from the west, the coming of Ya'jooj and Ma'jooj (Gog and Magog), the descent of 'Eesa (Jesus) son of Mariam (Mary) 
and other Signs. They also include the appearance of Al-Mahdi whose name is Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdullaah. He is from the descendants of Faatimah 
. Allaah The Almighty will reform the globe through him and will make him fill the globe with fairness and justice, the same as it was filled with oppression and tyranny before his advent.
