Wants to marry, but is unable to do so

Question

Quran Says : ‘Let Those who Find NOT wherewithal For marriage Keep Themselves Chaste Until Allah Enriches Them out of His Bounty’. But It Doesn’t mentions Time period one Should wait. It Just Says ‘Until…’ But For how Long Should person wait! Surely, Quran Doesn’t Says To wait Till You Attain Age of 90 Years! & If Someone Asks Your Reason For Being Single, You Respond : I Am waiting Till Allah Enriches me out of His Bounty!!! I Know A person who Did his Best, Used All means he had To get married / Search For A wife, But was Unable To Do So. No one wants To marry him Just bcz he wants Religious, pious wife who Takes Quran As her guide / Life Force. And Its NOT Strange!!! The Amt. of Immorality & Apostasy In present Era Is Sufficient To Support my Above Claim. ques Is : what Should Such A person Do! – Spent All his Life As Bachelor!!!

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Allaah ordered the person who cannot bear the expenses of marriage to keep himself chaste, so he has no choice but to be patient and remain chaste and get the reward and forgiveness from Allaah or to deviate from the right path and follow the path of dissoluteness and get the Wrath and Anger of Allaah in this worldly life and in the Hereafter. For further details, refer to Fatwa 89377. Then, which way would a wise person follow: the immediate pleasure that is followed by sorrow, or remaining chaste that will lead him to the reward from Allaah as well as achieving what he aspires for?

Moreover, you should know that at the time Islam orders the man to keep chaste, it orders the society around him and the guardians of women to remove the obstacles from the path of the one who wants to keep himself chaste, by encouraging reducing the dowry, and by ordering the Muslims to facilitate marriage and to accept a religious person who has a good moral conduct and help him to achieve his objective and what he aspires for. For more benefit, refer to Fataawa 90585 and 106818.

Moreover, you should know that it is Allaah who said this verse (mentioned in your question), and He is the All-Knower, the All-Wise and no one can adjust what Allaah said as He knows that which is good for the person more than what the person knows for himself.

In fact, the deviated people tried the ways of misguidance and immorality [Zina (fornication or adultery)] and this did not increase them except in more sorrow and misery. Allaah Says (what means): {And Allaah decides; there is no adjuster of His decision. And He is swift in account.}[Quran 13:41]

Allaah Knows best.
