Unauthentic narrations about the virtues of some verses of the Quran

Question

Salam alaikum, I have read this and wanted to ask if you can tell me if that is correct or bid'ah: - Who reads the last ten verses of Surah Al-Imran on any night or part of the night, will receive the reward of performing his Salaat for the whole night. -A person who recites three times in the morning the last three ayats of Suratul Hashr then Allah delegates 70,000 angles to send mercy onto him till the evening and if he dies that day, he will die as a martyr and if he recites these in the evening then Allah delegates 70,000 angels to send mercy onto him till the morning and if he dies that night, he dies as martyr. - If a person recites three ayats of Surah Rum (Para 21) and if he misses his normal recitation of the day, he will still be rewarded for it. This applies to the night as well. - If a person retires to bed on the side and recites Surah Fathiha and Surah Ikhlaas (Qul huwa- Allaho Ahad) he is immune from everything besides death. BarakAllah feek! Salam alaikum, Nuha

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

With regard to the first narration, it was reported by Ad-Daarimi may Allaah have mercy upon him in his book entitled “As-Sunan” as a statement from ‘Uthmaan Ibn ‘Affaan may Allaah be pleased with him without attributing it to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ). Husayn Asad, the reviser of the above book, clarified that this narration is Dha’eef [weak].

As regards the second Hadeeth, it was reported by Ahmad and At-Tirmithi may Allaah have mercy upon them from Ma’qil Ibn Yasaar may Allaah be pleased with him but Shaykh Al-Albaani may Allaah have mercy upon him classified it as Dha’eef in his book entitled “Dha’eef Al-Jaami’ As-Sagheer”. Also, Ad-Daarimi may Allaah have mercy upon him reported it as a statement of Al-Hasan Al-Basri may Allaah have mercy upon him. Husayn Asad, the reviser of the above book, said: “Its chain of narration is Saheeh [sound] as a statement of Al-Hasan Al-Basri, without attributing it to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ).

Concerning the Hadeeth about the virtues of the three verses from Chapter Ar-Room [Quran 30], it was reported by Abu Daawood from Ibn ‘Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with him; however, Shaykh Al-Albaani may Allaah have mercy upon him classified it as Dha’eef in his book entitled “Dha’eef Al-Jaami’ As-Sagheer” and in other books.

Regarding the last Hadeeth, it was reported by Al-Bazzaar from Anas may Allaah be pleased with him attributing it to the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) but Shaykh Al-Albaani may Allaah have mercy upon him classified it as Dha’eef in his book entitled “Dha’eef Al-Jaami’ As-Sagheer”.

Allaah Knows best.
