Question
Is there doctrinal hypocrisy nowadays due to Muslims' backwardness and weakness?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
Creed -related hypocrisy is a major hypocrisy that takes a person out of the fold of Islam. Seldom do you find an age free from such type of hypocrisy, although currently it has increased, spread and varied in many ways.
In principle, hypocrisy appears when Islam is mighty and powerful because spiteful and deceptive people cannot stand against or oppose it, so they falsely pretend to be faithful in order to deceive and mislead the Muslims.
However, the weakness which the Muslims are currently experiencing, did not only lead people to hypocrisy, rather these people dared to speak openly about their disbelief and enmity towards Islam, without having someone to hold them accountable.
All Muslims must return to their religion, hold fast to the way of their Lord and unite so that they can resist and stand in the face of non-Muslims and hypocrites. Truly there is a prosperous end for the pious.
