Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.

Scholars held different opinions as to whether or not the discharge of a small amount of Mathy (i.e. pre-seminal fluid) may be considered an impurity that can be overlooked. The majority of Muslim scholars maintained that the discharge of a small amount of Mathy must be purified like other impurities and should not be overlooked. The purification is carried out by washing the parts of the body tainted with it and it is sufficient to sprinkle water over the tainted cloths.

As for your question regarding whether it nullifies ablution or not, the answer is that the emission of Mathy invalidates ablution, no matter how small the quantity is, according to the majority of scholars. A scholarly consensus has been reported in this regard.

In brief, the emission of Mathy invalidates ablution and there is no doubt about that. However, if the discharged amount is small, it is excused according to some scholars and there is no need to purify the parts of the body and clothes tainted with it. The criterion in considering the discharged amount small or large is people's custom. It is more prudent, though, to purify parts of the body and clothes tainted with a small amount of Mathy so as to be on the safe side; this is the view of most scholars.

Allaah Knows best.
