Listening to Friday sermon not obligatory on women

Question

This is a trivial question, but there is a mosque nearby my house, and they always hold the Friday prayer there. I am a woman, and I can vaguely hear the sermon becaise they use a loud speaker. What is the ruling on listening to it for me? Is it obligatory or optional?

It is not obligatory on you to listen to this sermon; rather, your listening to it is permissible. So if you wish you may listen to it, and if you wish you may not listen. If you benefit from this sermon, then listening to it would be a good thing.
