Question

Asalamualikum,If there is a book which contains curse words in it, but is otherwise of benefit, is it haram to read that book? Thank you, and jazzakallah khair for all that you do.

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

You did not mention to us who is addressed by these curse words you referred to. In any case, what we can say in brief is that the existence of curse words in a book does not make it forbidden to read the entire book.

The books of history and others include stories that include some people cursing others, but we are not aware of any scholar who said that it is forbidden to read them just because of that.
