Suffers Massive Doubts and Confusions and Goes Out without Hijaab

Question

Aoa, I've recently started praying. I'm having a massive amount of doubts and confusions. I'm not habitual of parda (covering) I wanna know if I go out having as much parda as I can have right now? Will I have to take ghusl as I heard a women using perfume will have to take shower if any non mehram smelled it. Does it apply to all kind of non covering? If I do maximum what I can do at the moment will still I've to take ghusl? I don't use perfume at all or I don't wear jewellery as well. But my heard isn't covered when I go out. I'm having too many doubts and questions. Sometimes I just wanna leave all Islamic acts. Please help me and reply.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

We congratulate you on the blessing of constantly observing the Prayers. This is a truly great blessing that requires expressing gratitude to Allah, The Exalted, by performing more good deeds. Allah, The Exalted, Says (what means): {[We said], “Work, O family of David, in gratitude.” And few of My servants are grateful.} [Quran 34:13] May Allah, The Exalted, bless you with greater shares of guidance, piety, and righteousness.

If a woman leaves her home without observing the Islamic Hijaab, she is not required to perform Ghusl (ritual bath), even if she wore perfume. The Hadeeth stating that such a woman (who wears perfume outdoors) has committed Zina (fornication) does not mean that she had actually committed Zina in the literal sense, but she is rather likened to the one who committed Zina in terms of sinfulness only. Al-Munaawi may Allaah have mercy upon him said in Faydh Al-Qadeer: “She is considered like the one who committed Zina because she has aroused men’s desires with her scent and urged them to look at her. Whoever looks at her has committed Zina with his eyes because of her, so she bears a sin for it … Therefore, she is described as a committer of Zina in a metaphorical sense … It is intended to be an exaggeration, a warning, and an emphasis on the gravity of such a sin.” [End of quote]

There is no doubt that observing the Islamic Hijaab is obligatory on the Muslim woman, and it is impermissible for her to leave her home without wearing it, except in case of necessity.

If you experience doubts about Islam, you should know that this is the work of Satan, trying to confuse you about your religion. You should repel such Satanic whisperings, seek refuge with Allah, The Exalted, from Satan, and hasten to ask the people of knowledge to clarify the truth to you and refute any misconceptions. Allah, The Exalted, Says (what means): {So ask the people of the message if you do not know.} [Quran 16:43]

You should know that Islam is the most valuable asset of a Muslim, and he must not give it up in exchange for any worldly gains, no matter how great they may be because this is a kind of Fitnah (trial to test one’s faith). It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah may Allaah be pleased with him that the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Be prompt in performing good deeds before you are overtaken by trials which would be like parts of a pitch dark night; a man would be a believer in the morning and become a disbeliever in the evening, or he would be a believer in the evening and become a disbeliever in the morning, and he would sell his faith for a worldly (temporary) gain.” [Muslim]

Allah Knows best.
