Reward for Reciting Quran Will Come In Human Form on the Day of Judgment to Intercede for Its Reciter Not Quran Itself

Question

Will Quran come on the Judgment day in a human shape? Many christian preachers say that if Allaha's Qalam Quran can come into human shape then what is the problem with Jesus(pbuh) to come into this earth as human?
My question is Does it contradict with Tawheed to come Quran in human shape?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

The Quran itself will not come in a human form (on the Day of Judgment), Allah forbids! How could this be when the Quran is an Attribute of Allah, the Exalted? Rather, it is the reward for reciting it that will come in a human form to intercede with Allah for the slave and argue on his behalf on the Day of Resurrection. Perhaps the Hadeeth to which you referred is the one narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Maajah may Allaah have mercy upon them on the authority of ‘Abdullah ibn Buraydah from his father may Allaah be pleased with them who reported that the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “The Quran will come on the Day of Resurrection like a pale man and will say to the one who recited it: ‘I am the one that kept you awake at night and made you thirsty during the hot times of the day.’Al-Albaani classified this Hadeeth as inauthentic. Shu‘ayb Al-Arnaa’oot said: “Its chain of narration is Hasan (sound) when reinforced by other corroborating reports and Shawaahid (plural of Shaahid; i.e., a Hadeeth with a closely similar meaning reported from a different Companion through a different chain of narrators). An authentic Hadeeth close in meaning was cited in Saheeh Muslim, and it reads: “Recite the Quran, as it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection. Recite Al-Baqarah and Aal ‘Imraan; they will come on the Day of Resurrection like two clouds, or two shades, or two flocks of birds in ranks, pleading for those who used to recite them.” The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, also said: “The Quran is an intercessor whose intercession will be accepted and an opponent whose testimony will be deemed credible.” [Ibn Hibbaan in his Saheeh] It was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurayrah may Allaah be pleased with him that the Messenger of Allah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “The Quran will come on the Day of Judgement and say (regarding the one who memorized it): ‘O Lord! Adorn him.’ So, he will be adorned with a crown of dignity. Then it says: ‘O Lord! Give him more!’ So, he will be donned with a garment of dignity. Then it says: ‘O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So, it will be said to him: ‘Recite and ascend, and be increased one Hasanah (unit of reward) with every verse you recite.’” [At-Tirmithi: Hasan;, Ibn Khuzaymah, Al-Haakim said: “Its chain of narration is authentic.”] The meaning of all these texts and those narrated to the same effect is that Allah, The Exalted, will cause the reward earned for reciting the Quran to come in such human form. So what will come in a human form to intercede with Allah, ask Him for what is good for the Quran reciter, and argue in his favor is the reward earned for reciting the Quran, not the Quran itself, which is an Attribute of Allah, The Exalted. At-Tooribishti may Allaah have mercy upon him said: “His saying, ‘they will come on the Day of Judgment,’ means the reward earned for reciting them and acting upon them, as explained by the scholars of our righteous predecessors.” [End of quote]

Allah Knows best.
