Question
Salam Alaikum,I was doing my ghusul from hadath akbar in the shower and my hair was falling on my body. I would pause multiple times to remove the hair off my body and continue my ghusul. Is this considered an interruption and does it invalidate my ghusul because my intention might have changed from doing ghusul intention to removing hair off my body? I am worried because Ramadan is around the corner and I want to make sure my prayer and fasts will be accepted. Should I repeat my ghusul? JAK
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad (sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) is His slave and Messenger.
This action has absolutely no effect on the validity of your ritual bath (ghusl). Your ghusl is undoubtedly valid. It also appears that you are affected by obsessive thoughts (waswas), so you should get rid of them, struggle against them, and not pay them any attention. Giving in to these obsessive thoughts can lead you to great harm.
