Question
What is your opinion about using incense to annul magic spells?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
There is no evidence to prove that incense can be used to annul magic spells or works of sorcery. Indeed it is often used by sorcerers who have connections with devils, who like certain smells.
Magic spells and works of sorcery are annulled through recitation of the Quran and prophetic supplications (Ruqyah).
