Question

What can a Muslim do if there is no mosque nor Muslims around?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If one does not find a mosque close to him which he can frequent and there are no Muslims who can build a mosque in his neighborhood, then he can arrange to have a mosque in his house; i.e., a place where he and his family can pray in congregation.

In fact, some of the Companions of the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) made mosques in their houses. They requested the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) to pray in their private mosques, seeking his pleasure and Allah's blessings through his prayer, and the Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) did so.

Allah knows best.
