Taking intermediaries to Allah

Question

Is it allow to make the Prophet an intermediary of our. Is taking an intermediary Shirk? Please guide me.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

The Prophet (Peace and blessing be upon him) is not an intermediary between Allah and His servants. The Prophet transmitted to them the rules of Shariah through Qur'an and Sunnah. No act of worship will be accepted by Allah unless it is sincere to Allah and complies fully with what was revealed to the Prophet (Peace and blessing be upon him). But those who call the Prophet for help or supplicate him claiming that he is a mediator between them and Allah and a means to have their Dua' accepted, such people are in great danger as what they do and claim is but a pure Shirk (polytheism).
Indeed, the worship is only to Allah and Allah has not put a mediator between Him and His servants as far as supplicating, calling for help and worshipping are concerned. Please read Fatwa:
