Question
I want to know if this name "Abdul Jaleel" is correct and acceptable in Islam?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the World; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
al-Jaleel is one of the Names of Allah as mentioned in the known Hadith of al-Tirmizi . Therefore, naming Abdul Jaleel is permissible. It is even desirable.
