Trimming women's eyebrows for weddings

Question

I decided to set up an Islamic Centre for Ladies, Al-Hamdu Lillah. As a first step, I started to make a wedding preparation for brides.
So ladies demand to trim their eye brows. I know this is Haram and also it is banned from my activities. But I was told that for weddings this is okay. I am not sure about this.
Please can inform me how to handle this situation.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

We ask Allah to help you in all good actions and make you steadfast on the right path.

As you know removing eyebrows or making them straight is forbidden in Shariah for the clear Hadith of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) who said: "Allah curses those ladies."

As long as it is forbidden then the prohibition is general. So, neither brides nor others are allowed to undertake it. Cooperating in a sin is also forbidden.

However, the scholars allowed only in the limits of Shariah removing the abnormal hair that disfigure one's face.

Allah knows best.
