Books about reincarnation

Question

Is it true that reincarnation is a possibility or just a pure fake? Scientists have published books like ' Many Masters, Many Lives', ' Messages from the Masters', ' Reincarnation'. These scientists claim that small children speak like the souls of those who died, even going on to cite they speak strange languages which correspond to forgotten languages or dead ones. I have doubted it and have warned others not to believe it, but they don't listen. So I have decided to put a stronger reason from this site to stop this. Thanks.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

Reincarnation is a wrong and Kufr belief based on denying Allah and His Prophets.

There are many Quranic verses and Prophetic Ahadith confirming the pleasure and punishment in the grave. This of course refutes the saying that the soul keeps moving from one body to another when a person dies.

Allah says:"The Fire, they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon. And on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir‘aun’s (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment!"[40:46]

It is also confirmed in Sahih Ahadith that the Prophet informed us about the questioning of the two angels who will ask the dead in his grave, and that the dead is subjected to pleasure or torture. Therefore the soul and the body are together.

Allah says:" Every person is a pledge for what he has earned."

It is further confirmed in a Sahih Hadith that the Prophet stood in the battle of Badr and addressed the dead Kafirs. He called them by name: "O, so and so, have you found your Lord's promises true? I have indeed found the promises of my Lord to me, true." The Hadith is reported by Bukhari and Muslim. This confirms without doubt that their body and soul are together and that they hear the call. And the Prophet said: "you are not more able to hear what I said than them".

The Prophet said so when Omar was very surprised when he heard him addressing the dead. This is enough evidence against those who claim that there is re-incarnation.

You have to know that in matters of Creed a person has to believe with certainty, and without any doubt.

We must firmly believe in what is reported in the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet.

Allah knows best.
