Question
We are expecting a baby and decided to give him a name "Rayyan". Please tell me if it is a boy's name or girl's name?

Answer
All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Rayyan in Arabic is the opposite of thirsty, meaning that it is a person who drank and quenched his thirst. A male would be given the name Rayyan, and a female is named Rayya. Rayyan is also a name of one of the doors of paradise. May Allah make us among those who will enter it.
