Question
1) I have a doubt about using braces for teeth, recently I read in an Islamic book that we cannot beautify our teeth by cutting there are using artificial teeth, etc., but I would like to know is it forbidden to wear braces also because my teeth are out of shape so I would like to use braces.. Can you please suggest me the right advice.
2) I am really sad that I have a brother who does not pray and is very rude. Before he was very nice and obedient to my parents and also used to pray 4-5 times a day. But past 2-years he has changed his attitude and behavior towards my dad and mom very rudely. I agree my dad has some mistakes but my dad is reluctant to change. He does nothing illegal or against Islam only just sometimes does some mistakes and takes his own business decisions so due to that. It has effected my brothers career, hence after he has been too rude with dad n mm n he curses and abuses very much. I have no words to express, I know my fathers mistake but I always supplicate to Allaah that He help my dad follow the right path but I see no results and I am waiting eagerly firm Allaah's response, I have not given up hope. is till have faith in Allaah. but I am sad for what my brother does the way he behaves towards my parents I cannot tolerate and my mothers tears, they are unbearable for me, its no use explaining my brother because he is stubborn and wont change either, plus I got 2-elder brothers and they don't co-operate with my dad at all. As I stated above because of my dads mistake. Islam says whatever maybe the case we should respect the elders tats all. We cannot say or do anything to out elders only if they are against Islam...rest of the time we have to explain our parents the right and wrong and their mistakes but even if that not works out than what to do? Just supplicate to Allaah is it? I am watching this bitter relationship between my brothers and my dad for past 2-years and just supplicating nothing is positive as I see things are same as be and my dad is getting old and angry day by day. Please help me I am scared what will happen one day. Everyone has to leave this world one day. I am worried for our family. My brother is committing sins by not praying and disobeying my parents, my other brother prays but he is also stubborn and sometimes fights back with my dad though these arguments remain useless! Please help me all these problems make the situation in my house worse day by day and on top my father has finance problems too. I fear for Last Day and my mother who keeps shedding tears and got younger brother and a sister. What will be my faith only Allaah knows! Please advice me so that my brother can change I also know my brother will not listen a single word I say or anyone says him. He is in his world and freedom. Can I do anything other than supplicating for the whole family?
I only wish and pray to Allaah that one day everything will be fine very soon.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is his slave and messenger 
as well as that of his family and all his companions.
There is no harm in wearing dental braces if the objective is to bring the teeth to their proper position, as we mentioned in our previous Fataawa: 85149 and 88719.
As for as the matter of your brother we advise you to seek the help of Allaah and supplicate Him humbly to correct you brother's behavior and show him the right path. There is no means stronger than asking help from Allaah.
Exhort your brother and remind him of the great rights of parents, as we mentioned in our Fatwa: 84942; surely, Allaah will change him, Inshaa' Allaah.
