A widow wants to benefit her deceased husband
As-Salaam alaikum Wa-Rahmathullah.
recently my husband has expired, Alhumdulillah we had spent 50 golden years of our life together as wife and husband.
Now one of the moulvi said, it is not allowed to use my husband's name after eddath period of " 4 months & 10 days ". according to him the nikah agreement expires immediately after the eddath period.. More

Prayer of a parent for his dead married daughter
Assalamo Alaikum,
As I read in a FATWA, The prayer of a parent for his child is answered as reported in an authentic narration reported by Ibn Maajah.
Please clarify, this is for a live child or the dead child is also included. Further, if the married daughter died in the age of 26 years, will be considered as CHILD or otherwise.

Gifting the reward of good deeds to a dead baby

al-Salamun `alaykum, How do the Shafi`ites and Malikis deem the performing of good deeds over/for a dead person forbidden, and yet permit (and thus encourage) reciting Qur'an at the graveside of the deceased. Worried about what happened to her deceased mother during washing and burial
Brother when my mother passed away last week and they were giving her ghusl, the wood below her got a crack due to her heavy weight and the body was almost slipping when the ladies helped in taking her up again. Does reciting Fatihah at home on the 9 days, 40 days, yearly death anniversary of a close relative have any reference in Qur’an or Hadith and is it valid?
