Question
Asslamu Alaikum. May Allah grant you blessing and mercy to you and all the muslims. I really appreciate you helping people understand Islam better. I have one question how would the Muslims know the true Easa (alihi asslam) after the 1st major sign of Judgement day has occured. How would we know he is a fraud if someone claims to be Easa (alihi asslam). Thank you and Jazzakum Allah Khair.
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.
The Muslims will recognise ‘Eesa (Jesus) 
at the end of time based on the characteristics and signs which the Prophet 
told us. Liars will not be able to impersonate such characteristics and signs.
Among these characteristics is that he will descend at the white minaret in the eastern side of Damascus, and he will be placing his hands on the wings of two angels. When he lowers his head, there would fall drops of water from his head, and when he raises it up, drops like pearls would scatter from it. Every disbeliever who will smell his (i.e., ‘Eesa's) scent will die and his scent will reach as far as his sight reaches. He will fight the anti-Christ and will kill him at the door of Lod. [At-Tirmithi]
Can a liar descend like this placing his hands on the wings of two angels? Of course, not.
