Question
What are the good deeds that raise the status of a believer in Paradise?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
A person who follows the commands of Allaah, avoids His prohibitions and is sincere to Allaah will be worthy of entering Paradise, wherein Allaah will raise his status. Also, Allaah confirmed that anyone who seeks both faith and knowledge will be raised many degrees. In this regard, Allaah Says (what means): {Allaah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allaah is Acquainted with what you do.}[Quran 58:11]
In a Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrah 
the Prophet 
mentioned that if a person purifies himself [by performing ablution] in his house then proceeds to a mosque to perform the obligatory prayers; every step he takes will raise his degree in Paradise by one level and wipe out one of his sins. [Muslim]
In another Hadeeth on the authority of Abu Hurayrah the Prophet mentioned that performing ablution perfectly in difficult circumstances, such as cold weather or the like, and walking a long distance to a mosque will make Allaah raise a person’s status in Paradise and remove his sins. [Muslim]
Undoubtedly, the person whose status is raised in the sight of Allaah The Almighty will have his degree raised in Paradise.
We ask Allaah to give us the highest status and degree; He is Oft-Giving and Generous.
