AsSalamu Alaikum,
Is it permissible to draw stick figures of humans, as I was planing to do this for a school assignment.

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.

If these stick figures are just symbolic drawings, meaning that they are lines that do not show a picture of a living being, then it appears -Allaah Knows best –that this is permissible, Allaah willing, and if we presume that these are forbidden pictures, then if they are needed for the purpose of teaching beneficial sciences that cannot be achieved except by them, then drawing them becomes permissible for this need.
