Question
Assalam u Alaikum
May Allah (SWA) bless you all. I have question regarding eating from the same plate or left out of females (Gair Muharram) while eating or even drinking the same water left out by females?
Hope you understand my question
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
It is permissible for one to eat the remaining food or drink of women even if they were non-Mahram women because, to the best of our knowledge, there is no evidence forbidding this.
With regard to eating with a non-Mahram woman in the same plate, it is impermissible unless certain religious requirements are met such as the woman’s wearing proper Hijab and the avoidance of being in seclusion with her and that both man and woman are safe from temptation. However, it is better to avoid this altogether because corruption has become widespread these days.
