What is the sharia ruling when a mother applies perfume to her child and then goes out with him?

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

It is permissible that a child applies perfume and then goes out with his mother, so long as she does not apply perfume and is sure that her child's perfume will not transfer to her in case of carrying or touching him. It is also conditioned that this would not cause men to be tempted by the woman or draw their attention to her.
