Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

We congratulate you on the blessing of guidance to the Straight Path and for the blessing of repentance. We ask Allaah Glorified is He to accept that from you and to preserve you for the rest of your life.

Our advice to you is to be devoted to beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds. You must turn entirely to Allaah The Exalted and ask Him to help you succeed in marrying that woman if marrying her is good for you. You may send someone to her whom she is likely to listen to in order to intercede for you with her. If she accepts, then so be it. Otherwise, do not let yourself get attached to her, rather look for someone else. It may be that Allaah The Exalted will facilitate for you one that is better than her. Take comfort in the Words of Allaah The Exalted (which means): {But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allaah Knows, while you know not} [Quran 2:216].

As for passionate love, there is a way to treat it as we clarified in Fatwa 84544.

Allaah Knows best.
