Question
I have recently come across few un-Islamic books which claims that we can see our guardian angel and also can see our aura (ie. many color surrounding us) with some concentration practises. What does Islam say about all these things?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.
Saying that through doing some concentration practices we can see the recording angels is something that has no basis in Sharee'ah. To get more benefit, kindly refer to Fatwa 164169.
As for the aura (which is known as a circle or disc of light surrounding the body), we do not know whether it is a fact that is scientifically proved or not. Supposing that it is proved, then the possibility of seeing it through doing concentration practices seems to us to be unrealistic. However, there is nothing wrong with asking those who are specialized in that field.
