Question

My problem is that when I have foreplay with my wife prior to intercourse, I enjoy it and am in a natural status, but this changes at the time of intercourse and I then suffer from erectile dysfunction. This occurs most times, and except for in a few cases. Could it be envy or magic? What is the treatment?

All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

We advise you to refer to specialist physicians to make sure there is natural illness or condition causing this. If the problem remains after the diagnosis and you are sure you are not ill, then your problem may be due to a psychological effect or a spell. This can then be treated through Sharee`ah Ruqyah (Quranic healing).
