Supplicating Allah to vanish because of not wanting this life or Paradise

Question

If somebody does not want anything from this world and also does not want Heaven and supplicates God to make him vanish, will God answer such supplication or not?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and Messenger.

If someone supplicates Allah with the mentioned supplication, Allah will not answer his supplication, because he is asking for something impossible. All of mankind will be resurrected on the Day of Judgment and will be held accountable before the Lord of the Worlds. Resurrection and reckoning are inevitable for all human beings; they shall be brought back to life on that day and be held accountable for their worldly deeds. If one is wretched, he will be thrown into Hellfire, and if he is prosperous, he will be admitted to Paradise.

It is inconceivable that a Muslim should not aspire to Paradise! All Muslims genuinely aspire to enter Paradise and earn the mercy of Allah, the Exalted.

It is unthinkable that a person who knows about the eternal pleasures and delights in Paradise does not hope to be admitted to it! Hence, the only salvation from the worries and distress of this world which he does not want anything from is to turn to Allah with sincere belief in Him and to keenly follow the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and hope for the mercy of his Lord and fear His wrath and punishment. Verily, the wrath of Allah is too severe even for the heavens and earth to bear.

Allah knows best.
