Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Thank you for contacting us. However, we are not in the position to assess the statements of the early leading Muslim scholars and judge their sayings.

As long as you have read the statement of Ibn Al-Qayyim may Allaah have mercy upon him: “These tents are not the same as the chambers and palaces, but these tents will be placed in the gardens and on the banks of rivers,” [End of quote] then his statement should be adequate for you.

The tradition you mentioned was narrated by Ibn Abu Shaybah may Allaah have mercy upon him in his Musannaf and not in his Musnad, under number (34058) according to the edition revised by Kamaal Al-Hoot.

Allah Knows best.
