Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If a person uttered a statement that denotes that he would disbelieve [by uttering it], then this is disbelief whether he said it jokingly or seriously.

Allah Says (what means): {And if you ask them, they will surely say, “We were only conversing and playing.” Say, “Is it Allah and His verses and His Messenger that you were mocking?”.} [Quran 9:65]

The scholars stated that whoever is determined to disbelieve in the future, then he becomes a disbeliever immediately.

Imam Ar-Ramli said in Nihaayatul-Muhtaaj: “If he is determined to disbelieve tomorrow, for example, or if he hesitates whether he will do it or not, then he becomes a disbeliever.” [End of quote]

This abominable and heinous word that you uttered necessitated your apostasy – we seek refuge in Allah from that.

However, as long as you repented and regretted what you had uttered, and you performed the prayer after that, then you have returned to Islam – praise be to Allah – and you are not required to do anything else.

You should not tell anyone about what happened but seek forgiveness of Allah and perform good deeds as much as possible because good deeds wipe out the bad ones.

It is noteworthy that friendship between a male and a female is not permissible and that speech between the two sexes is not allowable unless in case of necessity while avoiding speaking with a woman in a soft voice.

Allah knows best.
