She Revealed Parts of Her Body Unintentionally

Question

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Since you did not do that deliberately, then you are not sinful, Allah willing, because Allah has forgiven this nation for their mistakes and forgetfulness. It is reported in Saheeh Muslim that when the Prophet (may Allah’s Blessings and sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention )) recited the verse that reads: {Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error.} [Quran 2:286], Allah said: “Indeed, I have done so (as requested).

Allah also Says (what means): {And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.} [Quran 33:5]
The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “Allah has pardoned for my sake the mistakes and forgetfulness of my Ummah (nation), and what they were coerced to do.” [Ahmad and Ibn Majah].

A woman should be keen on covering up, and if any part of her ‘Awrah (parts of the body that must be covered in Islam) appears unintentionally, then she should hasten to cover it and if she does not do so then she is sinful. The expiation for that is seeking forgiveness, feeling remorse, and being determined not to return to it again. Besides, she should perform good deeds such as prayer, fasting, giving charity, etc., since good deeds remove bad deeds.

Allah also Says (what means): {Indeed, good deeds wipe out evil deeds.} [Quran 14:114]

Allah knows best.
