Ruling on marrying a woman who swallowed a spell

Question

After engagement, I discovered that my fiancée swallowed a spell and that she is possessed. The Jinni loved her and tried to have sex with her. On certain days, she suffers from vomiting and pain at the lowest part of her back. She went to a Shaykh who directed her to have honey and the black cumin and advised her to frequently recite the Quran, particularly the Surah of Al-Baqarah. There was an improvement but she still sometimes finds these symptoms. Will the Jinni remain with her until I marry her? I fear that matters might get worse. What should I do? What is the sound method for treatment in such cases?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His Slave and Messenger.

First of all, we ask Allaah The Almighty to Cure that woman and Reform the conditions of all Muslims.

As for your question whether she will be cured or not, this is a matter of the Unseen that we do not know.

Nonetheless, if this woman is religious and of good morals, it is permissible to marry her. Allaah May Provide you with righteous children from her. On the other hand, sickness and recovery exclusively belong to Allaah, He Brings them and Removes them as He Wills. A sick person could be cured and a sound person could get sick.

We advise you to perform the Istikhaarah prayer regarding your marriage to that woman, if she is religious and of good morals, then act according to what you feel comfortable with.

Allaah Knows best.
