Question
Is there a way to secure a fetus from the Jinn?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, the Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, is His slave and messenger.
The Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, urged husbands to say “Bismillaah’’ (In the Name of Allaah) when having intercourse with their wives. He pointed out that doing this wards off Satan’s harm of the baby, if the couple was destined to have one.
Ibn ‘Abbaas 
narrated that the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said that Satan would never harm a child as along as his father had said before intercourse: “Bismillaah, Allaahumma jannibna ash-Shaytaan wa jannib ash-Shaytaan ma razaqtana.” (In the Name of Allaah. O Allaah, keep Satan away from us and from the offspring You Will grant us.) [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Other security measures include the parents' regular mentioning of Allaah, especially by the mother. She should always observe the morning and the evening ’Athkaar, the daily prayers, and other obligations, and also abstain from committing sins.
