Male Muslim easily aroused wants to marry but parents want him to graduate from university first.

Question

I am 22 years old and I get sexually aroused quickly. The problem is my parents do not care about my getting married or not.They say wait until I graduate from the university. So I began looking for a wife with their knowledge. Each house I went I was told I was still a student and wait till I graduate, after about 6 years. I don`t know what to do, especially because I work in a place full of women, so I always see and talk to woman. Fasting doesn`t help me that much. What do think I should do? What do you say to my parents? What do you say to people who refuse a person just because he is a student and for no other reason?

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah, and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Since you are not able to bear the expenses of marriage and your parents refuse to help you to marry at this stage, then you have to follow the below instructions:

1. To fast as much as possible as it is proven in Hadeeth that fasting is a cure, i.e. it will reduce your sexual desires.

2. Lowering your gaze from looking at women because the sight is the source of all dangers; whoever wants to keep his private parts chaste, he should lower his gaze. Allah Says (what means): {Tell the believing men to lower the gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (From illegal sexual acts, etc….).}

3. Avoid working in that place where there are many women. If you do all these things, you should know that Allah will make a way out for you very soon. Allah Says (what means): {… But let them who find not [the means for] marriage abstain [from sexual relations] until Allah enriches them from His bounty.} [Quran 24:33] Allah also Says (what means): {…and whosoever fears Allah and keeps is duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out (from every difficulty).} [Quran 65:2]

Allah knows best.
