Question
Is there any Hadith that proves the emergence of the lame leader in the last days of this world?
Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Probably the questioner means what is narrated about the lame from Kindah who comes in the last days of this world. This matter is not proved in any sound Hadith but there is a narration from K'ab al-Ahbar reported by Nayeem bin Hammad in his book 'al-Fitan' that K'ab said: 'The sign of emerging al-Mahdi is the flags come from the West under the leadership of a lame man from Kindah' .
Such narrations are not sound so they cannot stand as evidence since they are the narration of the People of Scripture. And we are ordered neither to accept them nor to reject them.
