Has only European non-Muslim friends

Question

I live in Europe and all of my friends are not Muslim. Is it lawful to participate fully as a Muslim in Western culture, e.g. go out with friends to parties, talking with girls,... but all as a Muslim.

Answer

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

You should, dear brother, adhere to Islamic rules wherever you are, as worshipping Allah means abiding by His orders and avoiding His prohibitions. This is not limited in space or time. Indeed, talking to women and attending entertainment ceremonies is a gate to committing both major and minor sins. It is obvious that attending such ceremonies is forbidden even if the person does not get involved in them. This is because he does not deny such evil acts, but even accepts them for these people. No doubt that this embodies a great danger. It is known that the heart of a person continues to change inclinations and it might any time lead the person to the worst in this life and the Hereafter.
We remind you also that it is unlawful to reside in the countries of disbelief except if there is a sound reason such as seeking some useful knowledge that cannot be acquired in Muslim countries, calling non-Muslims to Islam, or helping Muslims living in such countries to return to the right religion.
