Is a Muslim lady allowed to remove any hair from her body while she is menstruating?
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions. There is no objection that a woman removes the hair of her body while menstruating or after the period if necessary. As far as I know, there is no evidence in the Qur'an or the Sunnah prohibiting this act for her. However, some scholars prefer that a person's hair or nails be cut while in a state of purity. But these scholars did not mention any evidence backing their preference. Sheikh Al-Islam, Ibn Taymiyah said: 'And I do not know any evidence indicating dislike that the person in ceremonial impurity cuts his hair or nails' . Allah knows best.
