Question
Why did Allah create the universe, and all the living creatures including the Jinns and Angels?
Answer
All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad 
is His slave and Messenger.
Allaah, The Most-High, has created all that exists for wise reasons and great benefits. The sound natural disposition of men and sound reason bear witness to this.
Allaah, The Most-High, Says reporting the words of the believers: {…"Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose, glory to You! (Exalted be You above all that they associate with You as partners). Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.}[Quran 3:191]
If we suppose that the wisdom behind the Creation was only to prove to us the Lordship of Allaah, His Oneness, His Greatness and His Perfection, then this wisdom is worth this Creation.
In fact, there is much wisdom in every single creature. However, even if we have been able to discover some of these wisdoms, many more are still unknown to us.
What we do know is that Allaah created human beings and Jinns to worship Him Alone, Allaah Says (what means): {And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. Indeed, it is Allaah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.}[Quran 51:56-58]
Allaah also created the Angels for the same purpose, i.e. to worship Him and obey His Orders, Allaah Says (what means): {To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him [i.e. the angels] are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire. They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken.} [Quran 21:19-20]
Allaah further Says in describing Angels (what means): {…Rather, they are [but] honored servants.
They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command.} [Quran 21:26-27]
