I want to ask you about somebody who apply his face some types of food e.g. dates, egg, black seeds, yoghurt, etc., in order to make her face soft and smooth Shaykh is that allowed ?

Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

In principle Allaah has created these kinds of food as nutrition for the body. However, if a person needed them for use other than for nutrition in a way that is not forbidden, like in medical treatment and beautification, then there is no harm in this provided he is not extravagant. But it is more appropriate, if possible, to use other means for this purpose as a sign of respect to the food.
