Accepted Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

There is no religious objection for a woman to marry a prisoner if she and her guardian (s) know about his circumstances and they agree to marry her off to him, and he has enough money to spend on her or that she renounces her rights.

However, she should not accept to marry him unless she prays the Istikhaarah prayer and seeks the advice of trustworthy and pious people on this matter.
