Prohibition to hit face
Regarding the prohibition of hitting the face (as stated in a hadith), does it include hitting the face for self-defense as well? I mean, if I get attacked by a Muslim in the street, should I avoid hitting his face when fighting him? How about hitting other parts of his head (e.g. side, top, back, under the chin)? Going to gym that has yoga lessons, boxing and sauna
