She calls her mother ‘O my aunt'

Question

Assalamo alaykom i'm a muslim girl from morocco, and my mother has given me to my aunt to take wing, and now i call my aunt my mother and my real mother i call her my aunt, and i want to know wat say our relegion in this case and wat i must do, thank a lot for your response, I have written in English because I can not read Arabic on my pc. thank you mutch. wa salato wa salam 3ala sayidina mohammad wa alihi wa sahbih ajma3in jazakom allaho khayran incha allah.

Answer

All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

If you call your aunt ‘O my mother’ as a way of respecting her, then this is permissible. However, you should not call your mother ‘O my aunt’ as this may be considered as degrading her status, and this may lead you to not fulfill your obligations of being kind and dutiful to her as your mother; so you should be careful.
